Watch Every 'Daily Show' Episode In 2 Minutes

Just when I thought I was finally coming to terms with the fact that love of my life and constant inspiration Jon Stewart is leaving The Daily Show, the Internet sent me crashing back into my feels all over again. You see, YouTuber Billy Chasen went and collected enough images to form a video of Stewart from every single episode of The Daily Show that he then strung together into one two-minute timelapse. VERY COOL I CAN TOTALLY HANDLE THAT EMOTIONALLY. As you may or may not realize, Stewart has been on the air since 1999 (!!), so that's a whole lotta episodes. Over 2,000, to be more precise. And he's leaving us for good this year, so surely you have two minutes to look at 2,000 photos of the only man you'll ever truly trust. (I'm not crying, you're crying.)

Obviously the main thing you're gonna wanna keep your eyes on his Stewart's hair, because it starts out this amazing, lustrous brown before transforming into the gray, patrician mop we see before us today. Weirdly enough, Stewart's face has stayed exactly the same, without aging a day, so I was trying to see if I could spot the exact moment when his hair started to turn. But, as it turns out, not only is that completely impossible, since the footage goes way too fast to spot individual gray hairs, but it also happens a lot later than you'd think. I guess I'm just so used to Stewart having gray hair that I mentally edit all my images of him from before so that I remember him as always having it.

A more interesting thing to watch — scientifically, at least — might be his ties, to see if you can figure out some kind of pattern; but, of course, that would require about ten more watchings, which I can't commit to. Oh, who am I kidding? I'll watch it that many times before bed tonight. Even the part where Stewart morphs into John Oliver for a second, because it prepares me for the feeling of living without him. Need some practice with that? Watch the video yourself.

Bye Jon Stewart, you beautiful, unchanging man. We'll miss you more than you could ever possibly know.
