I never thought I'd hear her say this, but Kim Kardashian admitted that she probably posts "too many bikini selfies for some people." The queen of selfies and Selfie author herself explained to Page Six that although others may think her Instagram is filled with too many selfies, she is really proud of what she's done with her social account. And for that, I find her extremely admirable. IMHO, it's never too many selfies unless you yourself deem that it's too many selfies.
Say what you will, Kim K. is doing something right with her social media handle, despite those who may find her photos to be too self-indulging. But with over 37.2 million followers on Instagram, it seems that a pretty good amount of people don't mind Kim's selfies at all.
She goes on to say, "I have really stayed true to myself on Instagram." The selfie queen also explains that the key to her success in having a strong following on social media is her authenticity. Kim admits she doesn't have a strategy or team, but tries to stay true to herself and remain personal for all the people that follow her.
Kim told Page Six, "You just have to be authentic. There’s nothing more that I can’t stand is when Instagram becomes very promotional. I know a lot of my brands get frustrated that I don’t promote as much as they would like, but I only do it if it’s authentic, if I genuinely love it."
If that means seeing more of your selfies, Kim, then I'm all for it. There's nothing more beautiful than letting your confidence shine through
So, a few things to remember folks: keep your selfie game strong, do what you want, and post whatever your heart desires.
You keep doing you, Kim:
