Bobbi Kristina's BF Nick Gordon Is Being Sued

by Kadeen Griffiths

The tragic story of Bobbi Kristina Brown just seems to get worse with every passing day. On Wednesday, it was revealed via a statement from her aunt, Pat Houston, that her condition has in no way improved, and that Bobbi Kristina is in hospice care. With the state of her health "in God's hands now," there seemed to be no way this situation could get sadder. However, that same day, a new lawsuit from Bobbi Kristina's conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, was filed against the 22-year-old's boyfriend. According to the suit, Nick Gordon is accused of abusing Bobbi Kristina, allegedly withdrawing her funds without her knowledge or consent, and dragging her up stairs by her hair, among other crimes. Bustle reached out to Gordon's lawyers for comment, and did not receive a reply by the time of publication. In a statement released by Hargrove to Us Weekly, she said:

Today I filed a lawsuit on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. I filed this lawsuit to pursue justice on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. No human being, male or female, should endure what Bobbi Kristina endured. Pat Houston and Bobby Brown have done all they can to take care of Bobbi Kristina since this terrible tragedy occurred. I have worked closely with both of them and we all want the very best for Bobbi Kristina. This lawsuit represents our collective efforts to get justice for Bobbi Kristina. We pray that justice will be done for her and that it will be swift.

The details of the suit, which is "seeking $10 million in damages," are dark and horrifying. According to the claims, "[Gordon]... began to commit domestic violence on Brown, including punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth, and dragging her upstairs by her hair," and "Even after Brown's hospitalization, and while she was in a coma, [Gordon] accessed Brown's bank account(s) and stole in excess of $11,000 from Brown's bank account(s)." The suit goes on to accuse Gordon of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, demanding that he be tried by a jury of his peers for all listed allegations.

As horrifying as the claims in this lawsuit are, at the end of the day, the priority of all involved should be on the care and health of Bobbi Kristina. The 22-year-old is currently in hospice care with no real hope of recovery, and she needs as many people who genuinely care about her and want to see her return to full health around her as possible. If any of the allegations of against Gordon have even the slightest amount of truth to them, then the claims would not paint a picture of a man who could be considered one of those loving people whose support and care might help with her recovery. Until we know more about the situation, all we can do is continue to wait and hope that Bobbi Kristina gets well soon.
