After debuting a ton of short clips in anticipation of the film, the full NSFW trailer for Lars von Trier's upcoming Nymphomaniac has finally hit the web — and, in short, it really doesn't disappoint. The clip, running at nearly two minutes, is pretty much everything you'd expect from a trailer for a lengthy movie literally surrounding one sex addict's many, many sexual experiences: There is a lot of sex, and there is a lot of nudity, and I'm pretty sure at one point you can see Charlotte Gainsbourg's character, Joe, giving a oral sex. And this is just in the trailer. Considering that the film had to hire porn actors to film all of the sex scenes for real so that the actors heads could be later added to their bodies in post-production, we should all definitely expect the film to be way, way more graphic.
But let's take a look at everything we see in this trailer: In it, we're introduced to Joe (Gainesbourg), a woman who is found beaten in an alley by a man (Stellan Skarsgård). He takes her home to care for her, where she ultimately recounts the story of her life, from birth to age 50, and every single sexual experience she's had, ever. And, rest assured, there are a lot — there's a reason this movie is four hours long (fun fact: Von Trier was fighting for a five and a half hour cut).
Anyway, you can check out the very, very NSFW trailer below. If you just so happen to be in Denmark or Norway next month, Nymphomaniac is set to hit theaters on Dec. 25. Stateside, there's no official release date yet, but Magnolia has revealed in press releases that it will hit theaters sometime early next year.
