A Certain Actor Just Confirmed Ashton & Mila Wed

by Nicole Pomarico

Since the awesome news first broke that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis got married over the Independence Day weekend, I've been waiting for confirmation, photos, anything from the newlyweds. And although both of them have stayed silent so far, we did get confirmation — just from a totally unexpected source. On Monday night, Kutcher's former Two and a Half Men costar Jon Cryer tweeted about the Kutcher and Kunis wedding, and I have mixed feelings about it. Of course, it's nice to know that this wedding I've been obsessing over nonstop actually 100 percent happened, but on the other hand, it's a little disappointing that Cryer was the one to make that happen. Wouldn't it have been so much better coming from Kunis or Kutcher themselves?

And unfortunately, it's not like Cryer's tweets were very ceremonious. Instead of wishing the new couple well or tweeting something sentimental about his friend, he reminisced about the time his character married Kutcher's on Two and a Half Men, threw in a joke, and made sure to inform his followers that he was, in fact, invited. I mean, knowing Cryer and the fact that he's made a career out of being a comedian, this is actually a very typical set of tweets.

Obviously, this is nothing against Cryer himself, but I think with something as personal and important as a wedding, the people to officially announce the news should be the people who actually did the marrying. Being that Kutcher and Kunis obviously went to great pains to keep their wedding as private as possible — so private that the media had any idea it was happening until it was over — and have always tried to keep their relationship relatively low-key, I'd assume they'd want to keep it that way until they were ready to confirm it themselves.

And who knows? Maybe Cryer had his friends' blessing to tweet about the wedding. But, um, maybe not his best choice.

But it's fine. Now that we know their wedding is a real thing that happened, I'll be sitting here, waiting to hear from the happy couple — and keeping my fingers crossed that photographic proof comes next. I need to know what Kunis' dress looked like!
