What Does Erin Darke Do?

I got quite the surprise in the celebrity dating department earlier this week when I learned that Daniel Radcliffe has a girlfriend! First of, when? Second of all, who? A video came out of Radcliffe rapping Eminem's "Real Slim Shady" with his girlfriend, Erin Darke, which put her on my radar. After I watched the performance and my emotions settled, I went on a hunt to figure out more about this girlfriend and what exactly Erin Darke does?

Please be comforted that I didn't have to get super creepy with my googling, because many dedicated Radcliffe fans have wondered the same thing over the past few years. Yep, Radcliffe and Darke have been together since about 2012, and have kept their relationship pretty much under the radar! I applaud this couple for being able to do that, and it gives me hope for the longevity of their relationship that these two kids are clearly on the same page.

So, who is Erin Darke? Besides being a karaoke queen (as evidenced in the "Slim Shady" video, below), Darke also works in the film business, both behind and in front of the camera.

In 2012, Radcliffe split from his girlfriend, Rosie Coker, who was a production assistant. Seems like our man likes women who have the same appreciation for the business as he does, because Erin Darke is an actress, as well as a successful casting assistant. Story goes that Radcliffe met Darke while they were filming Kill Your Darlings, where Darke played the character of Gwendolyn. The actor shared with Parade :

We met on the set of Kill Your Darlings, and just got on immediately. It was one of those instant things where you're like, "Oh, I really like this person." You just have a connection with somebody, and then suddenly it's incredibly easy to talk to them. It was one of those sort of situations.

Aww, shucks. Well, one thing I noticed about Darke, is that she keeps very busy on her own projects, which is totally admirable. Based on her IMDb page, 2013 and 2014 were wildly productive years for her, and she was steadily working on casting assistant jobs and as an actress in small parts in nine movies! She was even on an episode of Girls! As of right now, she has four acting projects in post-production and she's currently filming a part on a new television series, Public Morals, which is set in New York City where she lives.

She hasn't had too many break out roles just yet, but Darke is fiercely passionate about acting. She shared with Relate Magazine : "When I was 13 I did a backlight Christmas show... I decided that acting was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. It can be a rough business, but I love it and I’ve never looked back."

She's hard working, talented, and has a supportive boyfriend in Radcliffe, so I think it's safe to say that she is living the life and killing the karaoke game while she's at it.
