Here’s Exactly What Makes The New bareMinerals Eyeshadow Palettes & Blush So Special

By Kaleigh Fasanella

With the seemingly infinite selection of eyeshadow and blush options on the market, there has to be something truly special about a new product to get us pumped. You know… that extra element that sets it apart from the rest and genuinely blows us away. This season, bareMinerals is delivering on just that with its collection of BOUNCE & BLUR Eyeshadow Palettes and Blushes. Both feature a next-generation clean powder formula that’s bouncy, fingertip-friendly, buildable, and beyond easy to use — and let's not forget the pops of color the collection offers that work beautifully on any skin tone.

Because we couldn’t wait to play with the products and see their performance in action, we partnered up with bareMinerals, Creators of Clean Beauty, to create two mesmerizing and colorful makeup looks that anyone can wear. Whether you tend to experiment with makeup trends or flourish in your signature smoky eye, these genius new products have you covered. They come in a range of versatile shades that can be worn alone, blended and blurred together, layered, and easily applied with just your fingertips. The color combos are practically endless.

Without further ado, scroll to see how we used the bareMinerals BOUNCE & BLUR collection in two totally different, equally effortless, truly stunning ways.

Sunset Eyes

Who doesn’t love a soft, hazy eyeshadow look that’s both sultry and wearable — oh, and can be done in five minutes flat? For this effect, makeup artist Tiffany Patton used the BOUNCE & BLUR Eyeshadow Palette in Dusk, which features all the shades you need to execute a killer sunset-inspired eye.

Patton started by using her pinky to dab the shade Crimson Sunset, a rusty burgundy, on the inner and outer corners of the eyes, layering it on to achieve an intensely pigmented effect. Then, to soften things up, she blended the same shade inward a bit along the top and bottom lash lines and extended it ever so slightly outward and upward for a subtle cat-eye feel.

Next, she dipped into the shade Harvest Moon (a soft bronze) with her middle finger and tapped it along the center of the lower lash lines and on the lids. She then diffused the edges, blending them toward the crease to create an allover blanket of color across the eyes.

For further definition, Patton tapped on multiple layers of Sepia Sky, a deep mauve, on top of Crimson Sunset. A few coats of mascara completed the eye look, but of course, it wouldn’t have been truly finished without a subtle flush. Patton used the BOUNCE & BLUR Blush in Coral Cloud on the apples of the cheeks.

Rosy Cheeks

There’s something fresh and romantic about flushed cheeks. That’s why this second look was all about a rosy glow, showing how powerful blush can really be.

Out of the four sky-inspired shades, Patton blended Mauve Sunrise in circles on the apples of the cheeks. Then, she swept the color upwards toward the temples, which helps create a lifted (versus dragged down) appearance. For a little extra oomph, she added another layer with her fingertips, making sure to really melt it into the skin.

While the cheeks are the star of this look, the eyes — with their sheer taupe wash from the Dawn palette — deserve attention, too.

All this is to say: Whether you prefer to play up your eyes or make your cheeks shine, the bareMinerals BOUNCE & BLUR collection can do it all. And if that doesn’t make it worth adding to your routine, stat, we don’t know what does.
