If there's anything we can count on in life, it's the fact that Katy Perry will be elegant, graceful, and sometimes perform with clueless dancers dressed as sharks. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it — even at this year's Burning Man festival in Black Rock City, Nev. At the desert extravaganza, Katy Perry tried to ride a Segway, later posting an Instagram video of the experience, and it's not the first time she has totally embraced being her fun and silly self. It's great to see her enjoying herself at Burning Man and not afraid to totally get down in the desert.
In the caption of the video, Perry admitted she's a first-timer at the long-running desert festival. Though Perry had a little trouble staying on her Segway, it was nothing like when a reporter wiped out on one right on champion runner Usain Bolt a few weeks ago. At least in both occurrences, no one was injured — and Perry's was more fun (after all, it does take place at a festival dedicated to a literal burning man figure). As you can see below, the strong desert winds knock her off the fun ride and caused her to chase it while wearing a very Mad Max: Fury Road looking mask. This video makes it clear that Perry is my new hero in Black Rock City. Just watch:
