The holidays come at you fast. And with costs of many goods still seriously rising, it can be hard to feel jolly when you’re worried about finding the perfect gifts for your family without literally having to break open your kid’s piggy bank.

Fortunately, Amazon is a one-stop destination for all of your holiday shopping needs, with the best deals on everything from electronics to beauty to home goods. The best part? With so many great bargains, you’ll have leftover cash to buy yourself a little something, which is honestly the best — scratch that, the only — way to survive the holidays. Read on to learn how to make this holiday season all about you without disappointing your family.

Deck Your Halls

In my opinion, the best way to kick off the holidays is to decorate your house with your favorite festive goodies. I like to scope out home goods and find decor that pays a subtle homage to the holiday season without going overboard; think a forest green throw pillow or a subtle, pine-scented reed diffuser.

I find that making my home feel like my own cozy wonderland not only makes me feel better, but it also boosts my family’s spirits too. Plus, they think the holiday decorations are all for them, when actually, my twinkle lights and seasonal candles are my secret presents to myself.

Prioritize Self-Care

While the holidays can be a truly magical time, it can also be, well, kind of stressful. From endless grocery lists to long lines at the store, it can truly feel like you’re at the bottom of your own list of priorities. That’s why I really try to focus on self-care when December rolls around.

When it comes to my wellness, I like to pick up some personal care items, such as gear to up my bath game. I personally like to use a good dry brush while my tub fills up, and then I’ll add a generous scoop of bath salts for a long, hot soak. A little bit of me time can make all of the difference before a long weekend with the in-laws, am I right?

Ditch Those Lines, Shop Online

Speaking of long lines, guess what? You can totally avoid those. Honestly, scrolling for presents on my phone while wearing pajamas and watching television is my favorite hobby. The fact that I get to do all of my holiday shopping from the comfort of my own couch is an absolute dream come true.

Plus, if I’m looking for larger holiday items such as electronics, it’s always easier to order it straight to my door. I’m officially putting it in print here: I will never haul a giant television out of a store and into the parking lot, and I honestly don’t know if it’d even fit in my car.

Scope Out the Best Deals

While you always want to treat your friends and family, it’s also important to make sure you don’t go into debt just because you want to spoil your niece. Plus, with costs continuing to rise, it’s getting harder and harder to score a good deal, right? Fortunately, Amazon offers many great opportunities to save, including deals of the day.

Seriously, though, can you even call yourself a bargain shopper if you’re not looking at the deals du jour?

Treat Yourself

Okay, this tip may sound a little counterintuitive, but trust me: If you want to not only survive but thrive during the holidays, you really need to treat yourself. Personally, I’m all about splurging on the latest and greatest premium beauty products. There’s nothing like cracking open a fresh jar of a brand new moisturizer after a long day spent in virtual meetings, and I know that feeling of satisfaction will carry through to the holidays.

Gift giving is kind of like that cliche about oxygen masks. Sometimes, you just need to focus on yourself before you can properly care for others. Plus, if your guilty habit is premium skin care, it helps to hunt down the best deals possible, right? Talk about merry and bright.
