As president and CEO of Breaking Ground, Brenda Rosen believes that everyone deserves a home. The New York City-based nonprofit offers long-term supportive and affordable housing, as well as services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
For Rosen, this mission is personal.
When Rosen was 9 years old, she and her family moved from the Bronx to Roosevelt Island. Nine days after moving, Rosen and her 11-year-old brother arrived at home and found that an electrical fire had destroyed the family’s apartment.
