Diet is everything! While it's a blast to use girly and glam products in hopes of a gorgeous new glow, the very best secret to outer beauty is a healthy, well-balanced gut!

Anna Yu | @maskaddict

As an old-ish millennial with dry skin, I'm half convinced a good mask will solve all my problems. I'm a sheet mask fan who is determined to try and review as many as I can. Nothing makes me happier than to hear people say I helped them with a mask-purchasing decision!

You can be using the most expensive or best products in the world but if you're stressed, not sleeping or eating well, it can still show on your skin. At a particularly stressful point in my life, I had really reactive and acneic skin despite having a "good" skin care routine. Once I managed my stress by meditating on a regular basis, along with a good diet and exercise, my skin has never felt or looked better. Also, wash your pillowcases and makeup brushes on a regular basis!

Anthea Persaud | @wing.it.beauty

I am a Canadian, West-Indian professional makeup artist, karaoke fanatic (#wingitandsingit), and self-proclaimed comedian. Specializing in bridal makeup, I also offer one-on-one classes for those who wish to learn, and I love making my clients feel beautiful. My primary goal on social media is to help promote a more realistic view of what constitutes “beautiful” in an industry full of false perfection.

On days when you are on the go but still want to look put together, save yourself from buying a BB cream by combining your favorite liquid foundation with your daily moisturizer. With a lighter coverage, this concoction will have your skin looking naturally luminous.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

Don't be afraid to make mistakes and get it wrong! My favorite beauty looks happened when I had an idea for what I wanted, then messed up but loved the outcome.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

TRY IT! Love that cut, color, or makeup look you saw?! Do it! Try it! Say YES! Do it with confidence and own it; you will feel a rush trying something new.

Sassy Latte | @sassy_latte

I incorporate my love of makeup and fashion into my social justice work by juxtaposing hyper feminine, glamorized, and provocative photos with thought-provoking, political captions to encourage discussions regarding intersectional feminism and body politics. In other words, I believe that the worlds of intellect, politics, and fashion/makeup can coexist and empower one another.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

JUST TRY IT! Enjoy yourself, have fun, break the existing rules, and make rules that only you have to follow. At the end of the day, you will get better at makeup application the more you practice, and people will come to understand your personal aesthetic and appreciate your originality. But none of that will happen if you don't just give it a try. Let people sort out their own opinions and figure out how to mind their business on their own time.

María Isabel Gomez | @bigapplebeauty

I am a content-creating beauty lover who loves to geek about highlighter and eyeshadow. From an early age, I had a strong feeling I wanted to do something in media. Along the way, I found my mom’s makeup stash and well... the rest is history. Luckily, I found an outlet and community where I get to combine these hobbies and am able to do that as my personal passion project. I currently focus on YouTube and Instagram as my main platforms.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

As a self-taught connoisseur, I always thought there were certain foolproof methods to get the best makeup looks. Although there certainly are hack and tricks, I think it’s so important to get to know your own face structure, tone, and skin type. Once you understand your canvas, you can create looks that really work for YOU.

Adri | @sortofobsessed

I have a fascination with skin care and makeup. Sortofobsessed is where I get to casually talk and photograph the beauty products that are in my life. I share my experiences via mini reviews and quite a bit of pink visuals.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

I believe it's important to pay close attention and listen to your own skin needs. Also, please wear sunscreen on the daily.

Lexington Hartman | @LooksByLexington

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

Since everyone is different, it can be hard giving personalized beauty advice without fully knowing that person. Something that may work for me, may not work for you. But, if I had to give one solid piece of advice that everyone can benefit from, it would be to invest in skin care! I get so many questions about how to make your complexion look smoother, brighter, etc. Your base needs to be hydrated and healthy before any makeup product is applied! Even if it’s just the addition of a simple cleanser and a moisturizer, I guarantee you will see a difference.

Hemali Mistry | @ready.to.glow

My name is Hemali Mistry, more commonly known as Ready To Glow, and I am an influencer based out of Toronto, Canada. People love to watch me for my fun, quirky, and bubbly makeup tutorials. What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

If you accidentally get mascara anywhere besides your lashes, just wait for it to fully dry, and then use a spoolie to scrape it off. Then you can go in with a light amount of concealer and apply it right on top to clean up the area completely. This is better than using makeup remover or a Q-tip because it won't get rid of any other makeup you have on, nor will it create a black smudge in that area which will end up making your makeup look gray.

Cashmere Nicole | @cakeandcashmere

I am Beauty Bakerie Cosmetics Brand's founder, CEO, president, and creative director. I am charged with creating the vision for the company as well as strategizing with my team on how to make that vision a reality. On the creative side, I get to have a ton of fun creating concepts, formulas, and designs that our customers fall in love with.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

Take care of your skin from within. I know it sounds like something you can put off for your 30s or 40s, but I seriously wish I'd paid my skin more attention when I was younger. Now, I live vicariously through my daughter by showing her tips and tricks so she can get ahead of Mother Time. Diet plays a huge role in our skin. I thought I had eczema. It turns out I don't. I have a gluten and corn allergy. My skin has improved through recognizing this as well as sticking to my diet and skin care regimen. Another tip: Do it with your loved ones. I love having skin care days with my family.

Melissa A. Fabello, PhD | @fyeahmfabello

I am a feminist writer and educator whose work covers body politics, beauty culture, and eating disorders. My monthly newsletter, Beauty School, offers readers the opportunity to challenge themselves and the world around them through educational essays on beauty culture rooted in social justice. My ebook – Appetite: Sex, Touch, and Desire in Women with Anorexia Nervosa – is newly available for download.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

Don't believe what you see — especially on social media. And remember that one person's beauty routine is their own — and probably not easily replicated on your own body with the same results. Folks often ask me about my skin care routine because of how I look on Instagram. The truth? My favorite filters, really good primer and foundation, and naturally clear skin.

Sitting Pretty Lolo | @itslololove

I'm Lolo, a disability lifestyle influencer, actor, model, advocate, and content creator. I created my YouTube channel, Sitting Pretty, to educate, discuss, and share my experiences as a person with a disability. My goal in everything I do is to encourage and promote other people with disabilities on how to live their best lives.

What's the most useful beauty tip you like to give to other people asking for advice?

The most useful beauty tip I give to others asking for advice is to buy products within your budget. There are a lot of drugstore brands who have great products that will give you an equally great look when wearing makeup.
