As far as makeup goes, Instagram has pretty much changed the game. Makeup artists' entire portfolios are available to us with the swipe of a finger, and provide us with endless inspo to try out on our own. There is so much good content out there, in fact, that at times it can be overwhelming. So who are the best makeup artists to follow on Instagram?
These days, makeup artists have become just as relevant as the famous faces they decorate. What used to be a profession that remained largely behind the scenes has now moved to the forefront of social media, and has become a staple of Internet culture that’s allowed us as consumers (and enthusiasts) to have unprecedented access to work we used to only be able to appreciate from afar.
Thanks to Instagram, it’s a pretty awesome time to be a makeup artist, and an even better time to be a makeup lover. These 11 amazing makeup artists work with some of the most famous people on the planet (literally all of them have touched the faces of at least one Kardashian) and their Instagram pages give all of us regular people access to the inner workings of their fabulous, cat-eye-adorned worlds at our. Give 'em all a follow for endless inspiration straight to your feed.
1. @CTilburyMakeup
At this point, Charlotte Tilbury is just about as famous as her celeb clientele (aka the namesakes of her lipstick line). Her life is glam AF, and her feed is full beautiful people and products.
2. @PatMcGrathReal
If you're following only one person on Instagram, it should be Pat McGrath. Yes, her feed is that good... and so glitzy you won't want to take your eyes off of it. Just trust me on this one.

Makeup artist Val Garland's feed is full of stunning, well-curated imagery (which includes her makeup portfolio, among many other things) that's equal parts editorial, over-the-top and trippy.
4. @LisaEldridgeMakeup
As the author of best-selling book Face Paint - The Story Of Makeup, professional makeup artist Lisa Eldridge knows a thing or two about beauty. Lottie Stannard's work can be found in pretty much every magazine and on every runway ever, and her feed is even more beautifully edgy than you'd expect from someone with her killer resumé.

Patrick Ta has been responsible for pretty much all of our favorite red carpet makeup looks this year (Olivia Munn, Sophia Bush and Blake Lively, to name a few) and his Instagram is a one-stop source for all kinds of glamorous Inspo.
7. @JoyceBonelli
You already see Joyce Bonelli on all of the Kardashian and Jenner's social media, anyway, so you may as well give their BFF/makeup artist her own follow for an even more behind the scenes look. She also has a really, really cute kid (who's BFF's with Northwest) and her work is #stunning.
8. @MakeupByAriel
No one does a golden glow quite like Ariel Tejada, and his insta is filled with enough bronzing, strobing and highlighting inspo to get you through to next year.
9. @RobScheppy
Rob Scheppy's life is pretty much as glamorous as his makeup looks (his squad includes Mariah Carey and all of the Kardashians), and his feed is aspirational in all senses of the word.
10. @HudaBeauty
Before Huda Katten was an internationally renowned blogger and businesswoman, she was a makeup artist. Check out her feed for alllll kinds of crazy tutorials (like this one, where she rubs Milk of Magnesia on her T-Zone) and an unlimited supply of her signature stunning beauty looks.
