10 Things That Last Longer Than The Mooch's 10-Day White House Career
Seven months into President Donald Trump's first term, a handful of resignations and firings have made the White House look like a revolving door. Just 10 days after he was hired as communications director, Anthony Scaramucci was ousted from Trump's staff. With a tenure so short, people are sharing things that lasted longer than Scaramucci's White House job.
Although Scaramucci was in office only 10 days, a lot happened in those days. First, White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigned and deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took his place. Then, chief of staff Reince Priebus was removed, and replaced with Department of Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly.
Scaramucci also made headlines on Thursday when he called a reporter from The New Yorker Wednesday night to complain about Priebus and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, which was published on Thursday, expletives and all.
And Scaramucci had been guiding the White House through a time in which several committees are investigating Russia's interference in the 2016 election and whether anyone with ties to Trump had worked with the Russian government. Meanwhile, Trump has been attacking Jeff Sessions, his attorney general, for his decision to recuse himself of the Russia investigation after accepting the job.
During all of these shake ups, now might be a good time for some comic relief, even if if may be at Scaramucci's expense. While people have long been ridiculing Kim Kardashian for her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, the short time span certainly has nothing on Scaramucci's tenure.
Here's what else Twitter has pointed out is longer than Scaramucci's White House job.
1. Bohemian Rhapsody, 2,400 Times
Honestly, the song could probably stay in your head for more than 10 days.
2. A Tank Of Gas
Depending on how far your commute and gas mileage, you could maybe even get two Scaramucci terms out of one tank.
3. Every Apprentice Contestant
Scaramucci heard "you're fired" a little sooner than others.
4. Hangovers
Sometimes the headache just doesn't go away.
5. Middle School Relationships
The notoriously short relationships might actually end up being longer than Scaramucci's job.
6. UTIs
The time the antibiotics kick in vs. the time it took Scaramucci to get kicked out.
7. Avocados
Avocados may get a reputation for spoiling quickly in the heat, but they're nothing compared to Scaracmucci's tenure.
8. H&M Tights
Maybe not the best quality tights, but they can still last longer than Scaramucci.
9. Eggs
She couldn't even get through the whole carton before he was fired.
10. All These Other White House Staff Members
Unsurprisingly, there's a lot that's lasted longer than Scaramucci's White House career.
