You Can Now Test Drive Every Type Of Eyebrow Imaginable With This Freakishly Accurate App

Have you ever looked at your brows and thought, "Meh?' If you haven't been satisfied with your brow shape and have been considering tweaking your look, then Benefit Cosmetics' Brow Try-On Experience can be the no-mess way to do it. As you well know, changing your brows on a whim can be a daunting experience. Whether you want to try a new arch, see how you would look with a thinner shape, or tinker with a new color, taking out the tweezers and going to town can have disastrous consequences. If your theory doesn't pan out, you're stuck with Pamela Anderson brows circa 2002, and have to wait a grueling month or two until they grow back. There's a lot of risk involved, and not many people are reckless enough to roll the dice.

But with Benefit's new Try-On Experience app, you don't have to break out in stress hives to shake up your look. You just have to take a selfie.

As a beauty leader in brows, Benefit is the first brand to introduce a tool that lets you try-on a brow service in real life. The Brow Try-On app is an augmented reality tool that simulates how you would look with different brow styles and products. And it's really freakin' cool.

But this isn't a one-size-fits-all filter that slaps the same brow shape onto every person that tries it. It's a little more complex than that. Instead, the tool detects and replicates each user's unique hair, and uses that information to create the shade and shape that would best suit them. So it's not like a Snapchat eyebrow filter that everyone tries on. It also only allows your brows to be tweaked to a degree that is realistically achievable for your real arches. Meaning it won't let you try on extremely arched brows if you have pin straight ones, or try out the bushy look if you have naturally thin ones. Mainly because you won't be able to get them at the salon, unless you paint them on.

The tool itself is pretty cool in the fact that it gives you choices with how you would like to use it. You can either upload a selfie you already have, take a selfie with the app and have it uploaded immediately, or you can go "LIVE 3D," which is essentially FaceTiming the app. For those that would like to see how their augmented brows would look like in real time, the live camera is a pretty cool option.

You can then tinker with a set of different options. You can change the shade of your brows, going from blonde to taupe to black to everything in between. You can choose between 15 different eyebrow shapes, and then meddle with how extreme the arch points are, how thick the brows are, how defined they are in color, and the placement of them. You can literally create your perfect brow in the span of 15 minutes.

But what happens once you do? Benefit wants to help you turn your experiment into a reality, and you can do that by toggling over to the "Get This Brow" option which allows you to either book an appointment in-store to get your brows waxed, or buy the specific products that will help you achieve the look.

If you have your own wax lady that you trust, you can move over to the "Share" option and snap a picture of the look that you can then either download onto your phone or share on social media.

Your perfect brows are only a few clicks away.
