Getting a special facial before a red carpet event is about as far out of my realm of reality as it gets. My favorite food delivery place is more likely to be on my speed dial than a celebrity aesthetician is. But does the idea of super fancy skin care sound pretty appealing to me? Of course. That's why celebrity-favorite skin care specialist Olga Lorencin's Red Carpet Facial In A Box is one of my favorite items to launch in 2017.
The first thing you should know about this product is that it's not as intimidating as it looks. Yes, the box is super luxe, with its velvet patterns and gold lettering. Yes, there are a lot of different lotions and potions in the box itself. But it's not as complicated as it seems. And, in fact, it lets you have a quick, at-home version of a facial that celebrities like Halle Berry and Eva Mendes pay hundreds of dollars for.
The box contains a system of three steps: a peel, a neutralizer, and a mask. The peel works to deep-clean your pores — and you can feel it working. If you have super sensitive skin, go light on this step. Next, you put the neutralizer directly on top of the peel. This calms and cools your skin. After cleaning your skin, you finish off by letting the polishing mask moisturize your skin for about 15 minutes. The results? Your skin is plump, moisturized, and glowing.
Lorencin is the expert when it comes to facials, and her knowledge is evident after using the system. The fact that she created this system because so many celebrity clients wanted her red carpet facial on-the-go speaks to just how effective it is, too. While three steps might seem like a lot at first, once you try it out, it's hard not to be hooked. At least, I was. And let's be honest, if Halle Berry is a fan, then it has to be worth it, right?
