Bustle's Rule Breakers Celebrate Women Who Are Ready To Face Anything

Sean Sime

Why does breaking the rules feel so... thrilling? Liberating? All of the above? There's something beautiful about releasing yourself from arbitrary pressures and norms. But as incredible as it feels, it's also not always the easiest thing to actually do. That's why Bustle hosted its first ever Rule Breakers event on Saturday, Sept. 22 in Brooklyn's Prospect Park — to celebrate women who are defying conventions and inspiring us all to pave our paths.

Thousands of guests showed up to the LeFrak Center to enjoy a packed lineup of fun activations, live musical performances, and to join in the collective rule-breaking spirit. Olay, who we've partnered with, was also there to support the initiative alongside their Face Anything campaign, which honors its own cast of role models, advocates, and activists. After all, encouraging women to face anything is the perfect complement to emboldening them to break the rules. Check some more highlights from the event below!

Members of a local marching band put on a performance that was nothing short of I-M-P-R-E-S-S-I-V-E and set the vibe for an incredible day.
