After a breakout year, "Bodak Yellow" rapper Cardi B continues to boss it up, this time with the baddest new verse in the Bruno Mars' "Finesse" Remix. Cardi B and Bruno Mars had already been teasing fans that they were joining forces for the collaboration of your dreams, but they did you one better by going full '90s in the retro-flavored music video. Paying homage to the iconic TV show In Living Color, Cardi B and Bruno Mars spray graffiti and bop along to the beat in color blocked outfits.
Cardi B's guest verse at the start of the "Finesse" Remix gives the song's romantic romp more of an edge as she alludes to her rags-to-riches story.
Drop top Porsche
Rollie on my wrist
Diamonds up and down my chain
Cardi B, straight stuntin’, can’t tell me nothin’
Bossed up and I changed the game (you see me)
It’s my big bronze boogie, got all them girls shook
My big, fat ass got all them boys hooked
I went from dollar bills, now we poppin’ rubber bands
Bruno sang to me while I do my money dance like
Aye, flexin’ on the gram like (aye!)
Hit the Lil Jon, okay (okay), okay (okay)
Oh, yeah we drippin’ in finesse, getting’ paid (ow!)
The song "Finesse," produced by The Stereotypes and Shampoo Press & Curl, originally appeared on Bruno's 2016 album 24K Magic. The new remix and music video haven't been out for long, but Twitter users are already giving their finger snaps of approval:
