Celebrities lead fascinating lives, but the work their assistants do is almost more interesting. It takes a lot of work to keep up a celeb like a Kardashian, and that's where a personal assistant comes in. Stephanie Shepherd still works for Kim Kardashian, but she is no longer the star's primary helper. According to Refinery 29, Shepherd is now COO of Kardashian West Brands, and is interviewing potential replacements for the executive assistant position she used to hold. In this new role, Shepherd has more responsibility than ever. She acts as a liaison between Kim K and the business partners who put out products like Kimoji and its corresponding merchandise, so she basically runs the show when her boss can't be there. It's big shoes to fill, but Shepherd has earned a lot of trust over the many years she's been with Kardashian fam.

Shepherd started working working for Kim K in 2013, when the star was pregnant with North and needed some extra help. She originally came to L.A. to be a dancer, but started to working as a celebrity assistant for Erika Girardi and fell in love with the work. After a few years of working for the Real Housewives star, she interviewed at Jenner Communications. She clicked right away with Kim, and the two have been working together since.

So, what exactly is it that Shepherd does for her boss? Her responsibilities evolved over the years, but the answer is a little bit of everything. After North West was born, she actually moved into the Kardashian house, Refinery 29 reported. "I was doing her whole schedule, doing her laundry, booking travel, putting the stroller together and all of these things," Shepherd told the publication. However, these days the Kardashian-West fam has upped the help around the house, hiring a new personal assistant, a house assistant, and two nannies, so Shepherd doesn't have to juggle quite as much. While she's still there to offer Kim any support she might need, her role is more administrative.

After spending so much time with Kim K, Shepherd has a good understanding of her aesthetic and brand. Sometimes, she even produces moments on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and she filmed parts of Kim and Kanye's wedding. With all the time and effort that Shepherd has poured into her job, it's unlikely that the Kardashian family will want to see her go anytime soon.

It seems like Shepherd might want to step away from her post with Kardashian-West family at some point, but as a newly minted business woman, she has no plans to depart in the near future. According to Elle, it's only when friends pressure her about the next move does she think about leaving the gig, but she still feels there's lots of room for her to grow.

"I've realized that I just need to utilize this position and learn as much from all of these experiences and grow as much as I can. Honestly, I'm just going to see where it takes me," she told Refinery 29. "I'm learning. I'm helping Kim Kardashian run her empire. I'm also building something for myself. I think that's a pretty f*****g great gig."

Of course, it's not just business that keeps Shepherd working for the fam. After being by Kim's side all these years, talking constantly, these the two have developed a deep friendship. She's also bonded with the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters. Kendall and Kylie were pals from the start, and the women often go out together. Khloe and Kourtney took longer to form a relationship with, but became friendly after touring. Shepherd has become an integral part of the all the Kardashian's lives, and it doesn't seem likely she'll leave Kim K's side anytime soon.
