There's not a specific season for lipsticks, but this brand might just change that. According to the Instagram announcement, Dose of Colors created a brand new lipstick formula just in time for summer. I'm talking ten vegan, cruelty-free shades that you won't want to miss. Don't think that this is just your typical lipstick launch though. Dose Of Color's Lip It Up Satin Lipsticks have an unusual shape that give the staple product a modern twist.
If you thought you've seen it all when it comes to lippies, think again. Dose of Color's new Lip It Up Satin Lipstick formula might not be groundbreaking, but it does have an innovative design. Instead of having the typical, bullet-shaped tube with a round head, they're geometric. The edge almost looks like a highlighter with concave sides and the tube is much longer than your typical lipstick.
The brand has yet to announce why they gave the lip product such a quirky design. At first glance, the product looks like it would be easier to hold than a shorter tube, but I'm not sure why they opted for such a squared off design. Like it says in the name, the Lip It Ups will be a satin finish, which is also a first for the brand.
You don't have much longer to wait until you can add the products to your makeup bag. According to their Instagram post, the Lip It Up Collection will launch on June 23. Dose of Colors is starting off with ten shades that range from everyday nudes to deep plums to bright pinks. If this launch is anything like their others, plenty more colors will be on the way as well.
Compared to their original Creamy Lipsticks, this is a big shape upgrade. Of course, it's worth noting that they're not the first brand to play around with the shape of a lipstick. Estée Lauder's Pure Color Love Lipsticks are shaped similarly to the Lip It Up Collection. I'm very interested to hear why the brand decided to go with the design.
On top of the unique design, the lipsticks are also vegan, cruelty-free, and made without talc or parabens. The only thing that hasn't been announced is the price. Dose of Colors lip products range from $15 to $18, so I'm willing to bet the new product will be around the same. Mark your calendars, because these lippies are to fun to miss.
