If you think Girl Scout cookie season couldn’t get any better, prepare to have your mind (and tastebuds) blown: One New Jersey bakery is making Girl Scout cookie-flavored doughnuts and I for one couldn’t be more excited for this perfect pairing. The delightful doughnuts are available for a limited time at Broad Street Dough Co. in Oakhurst, NJ, where lucky visitors will find doughnut-versions of three of the most popular cookie flavors of all time: Samoa doughnuts, Thin Mint doughnuts, and Tagalong doughnuts. The decadent creations are all made-to-order, so customers can always expect a fresh doughnut still warm from the fryer. Be still my beating heart.

Broad Street Dough Co. owner Desdemona Dalia has been making her famous Girl Scout cookie-flavored doughnuts since the bakery opened its doors three years ago. Not only is each treat topped with a classic Girl Scout cookie, but perhaps even more impressively, the entire doughnut mimics the cookies' unique flavor perfectly.

Dalia, whose daughter was a Girl Scout growing up, has always loved the classic cookies. One day, inspiration struck when she was experimenting in the kitchen and everything seemed to click. “I thought 'I duplicate so many things on my doughnuts, why not try duplicating the flavor of the Girl Scout cookies?'" Dedemona tells Bustle in an interview. "Then I said, ‘let me support all these troops around here’ — so I started placing a Girl Scout cookie on top, and I thought it was a cute way to spread the love with the little kids and interact with the customers.”

To make her decadent Samoas doughnut, Desdemona fries up a traditional doughnut and dips it in caramel and toasted coconut, finishing it off with a drizzle of warm chocolate. A small dollop of Bavarian cream anchors the cookie to the top of the doughnut. For her Thin Mint cookie masterpiece, a chocolate doughnut is dipped in warm chocolate glaze and then dusted with chocolate crunchies, to duplicate the texture found in the center of the cookie. The treat is then drizzled with a fresh mint glaze, more melted chocolate, and (of course) topped with a Thin Mint cookie. To create the Tagalong doughnut, a traditional doughnut is dipped in warm chocolate, then topped with a swirl of peanut butter and a tasty Tagalong cookie.

The bakery purchases thousands of boxes of Girl Scout cookies each year, Desdemona tells Bustle, and they always give a shoutout to the troop that supplies the particular batch of cookies, tagging their troop number every time they post about the doughnuts on social media. The very first batch of 2017 Girl Scout cookie doughnuts appeared on the Specials board over President's Day Weekend, thanks to an early shipment of cookies. The troop knew to call Desdemona right away, so she could start making her seasonal treat. The doughnuts are available while supplies lasts and sells for $3.20 a piece.

Last year, the doughnuts were available through July, but once the cookies are gone so are the doughnuts. For Girl Scout cookie fans (or Girl Scouts), a trip to Broad Street Dough Co. could pay dividends.
