Not all women love the same things. Some women live for hot coffee and others crave iced tea, but one thing most women can agree on? Leggings. If you're on Team Stretchy Pants, get ready to bust out your credit card. Girlfriend Collective leggings' new colors are here, and you are going to want to shop these eco-friendly basics as soon as possible.
On Wednesday, the internet-breaking leggings brand launched brand new colorways expanding beyond basic black, introducing Sand Dollar (a light tan), Indigo (a true blue), and Midnight (a dark charcoal blue). The new bottoms are exactly like the brand's previous design, but as we all know, you can never have too many leggings in too many colors. That adage has never been more true than when the bottoms in question are made from 79 percent recycled polyester that's crafted from water bottles. In addition to their commitment to the environment, Girlfriend Collective is also SA80000 (Social Accountability International) certified. That means the brand's factory in Taiwan— which produces the leggings' fabric — does not use child or forced labor, maintains safe conditions, and pays a living wage.
While you may only know Girlfriend Collective for their initial launch promotion of "free" leggings back in 2016, the company's ethical, environmentally-friendly products in three brand new colors will have you coming back. While they're no longer "free" (you still had to pay for shipping), at $58, the leggings are still affordable — plus, we could all embrace more slow fashion in our lives.
So, how do you snag the brand new colors? You'll need to pre-order the new leggings, which come in sizes XXS to XXXL, in order to guarantee that they'll be yours. If you do, they'll start shipping out on Aug. 4.
While the new colors may not be free, the brand is still running a killer promotion. Right now, if you shop two leggings, you'll qualify for free shipping to the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia.
