When celebrities come into the Bustle office, whether it's for a photoshoot, videoshoot, or a Facebook Live, we want to give them the chance to leave their mark. Literally. So we hand them a pen, a piece of paper, a few questions, and ask them to get creative. The rest is up to them. This time, actor Herizen Guardiola is leaving her mark in the Bustle Booth.

You probably know Guardiola from her performance in Netflix's The Get Down, in which she plays Mylene Cruz, a singer whose ambition to become a disco star pits her against her religious father. The unbelievable thing about the 20 year old is that Mylene is her debut role, and, if you're astonished, then take some comfort in the fact that director Baz Luhrmann feels the same.

"It’s always thrilling to find a fresh unknown talent," he said of discovering the singer/songwriter/actor. "Particularly one who is not only a terrific actor but a magnificent vocalist." Given that he's previously worked with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Claire Danes, Nicole Kidman, and Ewan McGregor, that's a hell of a compliment.

So what did we learn about Hollywood's most melodic newcomer when she stopped by Bustle's New York office? Mostly that you should expect the unexpected, with caffeine leaving her cold and her being just as curious as you are about Ed Sheeran.
