You've seen it played out in practically every teen movie since the beginning of time: football players dating cheerleaders — much to the chagrin of the lowly computer nerd or theater buff. For New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski and ex-Pats cheerleader Camille Kostek, that high school fantasy may or may not be a reality.
Multiple sources claimed to TMZ Sports, that the two are "100 percent NOT dating," but instead "had a fling" not too long ago. However, the entertainment site noted that Kostek was billed as Gronkowski's girlfriend during on a guest spot on Comedy Central's The Barstool Rundown on that aired Wednesday, Feb. 1.
On the show, Kostek was asked whether she tires of hearing the 27-year-old tight end's 69 jokes. "This has been going on and on," Kostek said on the show. "It's no joke." Kostek explained Gronk's mother confirmed that he's been saying 69 since he was three years old so she's grown accustomed to it.
While Gronk is off telling jokes and preparing to watch his team take on the Atlanta Falcons (he will be out due to a back injury), Kostek apparently has been going to games and occasionally posts photos of herself on social media wearing his jersey thus giving off the impression that they are — or at least were — a real couple.
The New York Post reports the model was first linked to Gronkowski in 2015. However, the last photo Kostek posted of the couple together was on the red carpet at the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Sports Awards in July 2016, so perhaps their status has changed since then. For now, the jury's out on what's really going on here.
Bustle has reached out to Kostek and a rep for Gronkowski for comment, but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
