It may have been almost six months since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint during a trip to Paris, but in Keeping Up With The Kardashians time, it just happened. On last week's episode, Kim talked about the robbery for the first time, and hearing the story from her firsthand made it even more clear how deeply the incident affected her. And now, we get to see what happened in the immediate aftermath. On Sunday night's KUWTK, Kim coped with her robbery, and, even after seeing the episode, it's hard to imagine what that was like for her.

After the robbery happened last year, the news was obviously everywhere, and it wasn't all nice. Remember the Halloween costume? Yeah, she totally knew about that. Remember how the entire family started canceling events? Kim hated that it had to happen and didn't want anyone to put their lives on hold for her. And when she found out she had to go back to Paris as part of the investigation, she certainly wasn't happy about that either. Who would be?

In fact, at one point, Khloé found Kim in the bathroom crying and even asked that the cameras stop filming so she could help her sister in privacy. Even when Kanye came home after a concert and entered the house through a different way one night, it scared her, and it's obvious this is going to be a long road for her.

Something that really hit home about what Kim had to experience, though? How much it hurt her that people weren't taking what happened to her seriously, whether it was because of things like the Halloween costume or what was being said about her on Twitter. Like she pointed out, despite the fact that she's a celebrity, she's also a real person with real feelings who went through something horrifying, and it's terrible that she had to deal with backlash while trying to cope with something traumatic.

As a longtime fan of the Kardashians and Kim, it's always been heartbreaking for me to think about what Kim must have gone through (and could still be going through) because of her robbery, and seeing it on KUWTK multiplied that feeling tenfold.

But like her sisters said so many times this episode, Kim is strong and she can overcome anything. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of her journey, especially since I'm convinced she will come out on top.
