Lily Tomlin Kept It Simple On The SAG Red Carpet
Lily Tomlin will receive the 23rd Annual SAG Awards Lifetime Achievement Award tonight during the ceremony on Jan. 29 — and she'll look fabulous when she takes the stage. Tomlin's 2017 SAG Awards red carpet look was head-to-toe black, and she kind of crushed it on the red carpet.
Tomlin is recognized for a long and successful career in Hollywood, earning her two Peabody Awards, six Emmy Awards, a 2014 Kennedy Center Award and a Grammy.
"Tomlin has been a cherished star in the entertainment firmament since she joined the groundbreaking television series 'Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In' in 1969, when it was rated the No. 1 show and watched by over 25 percent of all American television viewers," said a SAG Awards statement. "She and the colony of characters she created have continued to evolve, grow, deepen and adapt to this day, as Tomlin expresses her talents in nearly all forms of media."
At 77, Tomlin has seen her fair share of red carpet looks. From suits to gowns, sleek matte looks to dripping in sparkles, she's always keeping it chic. She occasionally surprises in a classically neutral print, like zebra stripes or snakeskin. Gorg!
She's rocking her classic black, and I'm in love.
