When it comes to style, people look to royals like Meghan Markle for inspiration. It turns out that this soon-to-be royal has some pretty good makeup tips, too. According to PopSugar, Meghan Markle's one makeup request is to never have her freckles covered. Her former makeup artist spilled all the deets to the publication, including what foundation she used to use — and it all proves just how relatable she is.

The Meghan Markle Effect is real. Every item that she wears sells out within days, sometimes even hours, of her wearing it. Her beauty choices are just as viral. You know, like that rule-breaking messy bun that she wore not once but twice. Now, it's her makeup that is catching peoples' eyes — and not for the reason you might think.

Markle has a very natural look, and it's intentional. According to PopSugar, the soon-to-be royal requests to have her freckles show through her foundation. The publication talked to Markle's former hair and makeup artist Lydia Sellers, who said that looking natural was the once-actresses main concern.

"Every time I'd do her makeup, she'd say, 'Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don't want a ton of foundation," Sellers told PopSugar. The makeup artist added that Markle was "so confident with herself and her look, and she sticks with that."

There's no rule saying that royals have to wear neutral or natural makeup. Although Markle is known for toeing the line between the royal fashion rules and her own personal style, she's played it safe with her makeup choices. In fact, not much has changed at all since she was welcomed into the royal family.

Although Sellers isn't currently Markle's makeup artist, she did mention what products she used to use on the actress. According to PopSugar, the makeup artist always reached for Armani Luminous Silk Foundation when doing Markle makeup. A bottle of the foundation will set you back $64 for a full-size and $42 for a mini. Both options are available in 24 shades.

Markles love for natural makeup should come as no surprise. As PopSugar notes, the soon-to-be royal used to focus on eco-friendly and natural makeup up brands when she used to run her blog The Tig. The blog is no longer running, but she's still just as influential as she was when she was speaking to readers online.

You can see Markle's freckles in just about every photo's she's in. Other than some light blush on the apples of her cheeks and smudged eyeliner, she doesn't wear much makeup at all. So it really comes as no surprise that she used to ask for a natural look. It does prove that she is comfortable in her own skin.

In the past year, freckles have had a major beauty moment. While some are embracing the ones that they have, others are drawing fake ones on. Heck, you can even get them tattooed on your face now. There's a good chance that the trend will get even more amped up now that the royal is a fan of the trend.

With just months until the royal wedding, it will be interesting to see if she chooses to go just as natural for her big day. Some details about the day have been announced so far — like the venue and where the parade will be following the ceremony — but all fashion and beauty details are being kept a secret. Mark your calendars for May 19, because, if her previous fashion and beauty choices are any indication, it's going to be epic.

With all eyes on her, Markle always finds a way to stay true to her own personal style. Add that to the reasons why she's on her way to becoming the most beloved royal in the Royal Palace.
