SiriusXM subscribers are about to have a lot more “Faith." As Entertainment Weekly points out, SiriusXM's channel 13 will only play George Michael songs for a week straight. On Thursday, the satellite radio company announced that it will honor the late pop legend by changing the Velvet channel to Faith, the George Michael Tribute Channel. Starting Jan. 4, the station will only serve up music from Michael's extensive and untouchable catalog; Wham!'s hits, his solo singles, and collaborations with Elton John, Aretha Franklin, and Queen will all be present and accounted for on the limited-run channel.

First of all, yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I could not be more ready to sob-sing along with a station that is all about jams like "Father Figure," "Freedom! '90," "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," and "Careless Whisper." Cue up the Michael music and never let it stop.

That being said, why does it only have to be a week? I do not mean to be ungrateful, but seven days just does not feel like enough. Frankly, any set amount of time does not feel like enough. SiriusXM's George Michael Tribute Channel could and should go on forever.

If I heard tracks like "Freedom! '90" every day for the rest of my life, it would not get old. I'll take it one step further: If I heard tracks like "Freedom! '90" every hour on the hour every day for the rest of my life, it would not get old.

That is the magic of a perfect pop record. And Michael made so many perfect pop records.

So, so many perfect pop records.

So, so, so many perfect pop records.

And I can't wait to hear every last one of his perfect pop records on SiriusXM.
