It's been a busy year for Millie Bobby Brown. When her show Stranger Things aired in 2016 and became an unexpected cult hit, her character, Eleven, became everyone's fan favorite. Brown appeared with the Stranger Things cast at nearly every major award show, while also becoming a fashion icon; just this year, she appeared at many New York Fashion Week events, graced the cover of major magazines, and landed her first fashion campaign with Calvin Klein. While these are all major accomplishments, it must be exhausting to fit so many events, photoshoots, and interviews on top of a filming schedule, and on Saturday, Brown announced that she was missing an event in order to take some well-deserved rest.

According to E Online, Brown was scheduled to appear at Collective Con, a pop culture convention in Jacksonville, Florida, and Brown was slated to sign autographs for fans of Stranger Things. However, worn out from her nonstop schedule, the actor was forced to cancel. Brown knew this would be a let down for some Floridian fans, and took the time to record a personal message on Instagram. In the short video, Brown gave a quick health update and explained why she wouldn't be able to make it to the event.

"Hey guys, I've never had to do one of these videos before. But I've had to cancel at Collective Con last minute, which is something I've never done and I'm planning on never doing again," Brown tells fans in the Insta video. "I just think I've worked too hard and I have to rest as I've had a really long shoot and I'm still filming Stranger Things. I'm sorry to everyone who's going and I promise you guys I'm going to get back to you. I love you guys all, thank you so much for your continued support and thank you."

It's important that Brown prioritizes her health, and Collective Con reached out to show their support. The event planners wrote a message to Brown on Twitter, wishing the star a speedy recovery.

Seeing that she's just 13 years old, it's not surprising that Brown needs some time to rest and recuperate. It's not easy being a teenager; I don't know about you, but when I was in middle school all I wanted to do was spend my afternoons eating Goldfish and watching Gilmore Girls reruns. Never mind traveling the world, attending countless events, and filming a major television series. It's no wonder that Brown might need a break every once in a while.

Fans appreciate the star's honesty, and everyone is hoping she's feeling better soon. Celebs are only human, and it's a relief to see a star have an open conversation with fans about self care. Good for Brown for knowing her own limits and taking some well-deserved rest time.
