This is not a drill. ColourPop is stepping out and doing something the brand has never done before. Twist-up tube lippies may not be a new thing, but ColourPop is launching traditional bullet lipstick for the first time in the brand's history.

Taking to Instagram on Jan. 17 to share a close-up of a new mystery product, ColourPop included a caption that read, "The stars are aligned" with #comingsoon. Well, the cosmos must be one with the brand, because they're finally giving fans a dreamy cream lipstick — and it isn't just any, plain old lipstick. It's Lux Lipstick, a collection of mattes formulated with nourishing ingredients that glide on smooth as silk.

Launching exclusively on the brand's website on Jan. 31, ColourPop is ending the month with a bang. The creators of holy-grail liquid lippies and single shadows that barely cost a thing, is giving their newest 24-piece collection the same quality formula for the budget-friendly price fans know and love. At $7 a pop, the luxury bullet lipsticks will hardly put a dent in your wallet.

Once you see the beauties ColourPop will soon stock on their virtual shelves, you're going to want every single shade.

A stunning range of peachy nudes, statement reds, and rich browns, the collection includes lipstick must-haves every makeup lovers needs in their stash. There are even unconventional lipstick hues present in the lineup like lavender, blackened teal, and black for the most daring lip lovers.

A formula that's sure to hydrate your pout as you rock it, the Lux Lipsticks feature a blend of nourishing butters and antioxidant agents to protect lips from environmental stressors.

Every detail of the lippies is worth admiring. Their rose gold tubes have a luxury aesthetic and the stars embossed into the creams was a unique touch that elevated the collection even more.

Take a trip to ColourPop's YouTube channel and you'll find a swatch video for your viewing pleasure. The swatch party is proof that one stroke of the lippies is all you need to get fully opaque color payoff because they're really that pigmented. So, prepare to drool over every heavenly hue.

If that isn't enough to win you over, the fact that the lipsticks have an anti-feather formula that causes them to not bleed will probably peak your interest. Long-lasting color that costs less than an Alexander Hamilton is surely worth it.

The stunning color range, fabulous price point, and quality pigmentation attests to ColorPop really taking it's time to craft the perfect lipstick. In a behind-the-scenes video showing ColourPop's production process for the lippies, Laura Nelson, one of the brand's co-founders and president, reveals that creating the collection was a three-month long project.

"I always felt like it was such an elevated product that truly, I had never even attempted to develop it for ColourPop," said Nelson, referring to this being a first for her company.

The brand was so determined to make their first attempt at making traditional bullets their best launch that they even scrapped the project and started over from the beginning when they didn't like their first batch of Lux Lipsticks. Reworking the ingredients, finish, and shade range, ColourPop finally came up with a collection worth presenting to the beauty community.

There's still a little time to wait before the collection is up for grabs. The lippies will be sold individually or a true lipstick fanatic can snag all 24 shades in a box that will be available for purchase.

Whether you get your claws on a lippie, or two, or a dozen, you likely won't regret putting all of your money towards a Lux Lipstick haul.
