The moment edgy makeup lovers have been waiting for is finally here. First, Kat Von D changed the game with her fan-favorite contour palette. Now, if you can believe it, Kat's contour game is getting even better.
The Kat Von D Shade + Light Crème Contour Palette is here, and the swatches are absolutely mesmerizing. I'm talking creamy, smooth, and perfect for a variety of skin tones. If that isn't enough already, there's even tools to go with the release.
In the beauty world, there's nothing better than a brand taking their already amazing makeup and enhancing it even more. Kat Von D Beauty could have stopped after creating their beloved Shade + Light Face Contour Palette, but that would have been to easy. Since the launch, the brand has gone out of its way to make the palette completely vegan and even created removable pans to go with it. Now the original has a little sister — the Shade + Light Crème Contour Palette.
There are three highlight and three contour shades in the palette, in similar hues to Kat's original palette. But the formula has been updated to something a little more malleable. From the looks of the Instagram swatches, the shades are incredibly pigmented and absolutely gorgeous.
The six-shade cream palette is available right now on the Kat Von D and Sephora website. According to the brand's Instagram post, the Shade + Light Crème Contour Palette will be available in stores on Aug. 25. As far as the price goes, it's the exact same price as the powder set — $49. While that seems a little pricy, it breaks down to about $8 per shade. Each separate refillable pan is between $14 to $16.
The new launches don't stop there, either. Along with the palette, Kat Von D Beauty also created the Edge Creme Contour Brush specifically for the new product. According to the products description, the shape of the brush allows you to contour and blend with ease. It's available on the Kat Von D Beauty website for a cool $32.
The new palette is permanent to the brand's collection, so you have some time to save up. Because the formula and the shades are slightly different, you could definitely add both the powder and creme to your makeup bag. After all, you can never have too much contour.
