Rihanna Released Swatches Of Her New Matte Lippies & The Unique Colors Are Hot As Hell

by Amy Sciarretto

Rihanna's personal Instagram is looking like Fenty Beauty's feed lately. She has been pumping the beloved products on her own page, from the 40-shade foundation range to her upcoming Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipsticks. The 14 matte lippies arrive at 9 a.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 26 via Sephora and the Fenty Beauty site. That means you can use those Sephora gift cards or some of the cash you may have received as a gift the day before on Christmas to scoop up a tube or 14 of these.

Rihanna's Mattemoiselle lip swatches are everything — the singer, actor, and Puma creative director has been posting campaign images of herself rocking some of the most dramatic shades on her Insta. The shots demonstrate how wearable this formula is IRL.

Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick, $18, Sephora

The lippies are $18 a piece and come in twist up tubes. The shade range is 14 strong. There are blues, purples, hot pinks, reds, neutrals, and more. While Rih debuted the brand with just one lip product, the Universal Lip Luminizer Gloss Bomb, she is filling out her lip offerings beautifully and methodically. Her take on the mega matte, ultra pigmented, super precise lip trend is thoroughly ace.

Because of course it is.

Rihanna has posted six of the shades on her pout so far and she will likely continue to reveal even more as the drop date draws nearer. Since she is such a trendsetter, fans and beautyistas will see these and want to follow her lip lead. Let's have a look at the Mattemoiselle hues, as worn by Rihanna.

Clapback is a navy blue. Rih's legion of fans is known as The Navy, so it makes sense that she went with this shade. All Navy loyalists will want to wear it.

Spanked is a perky coral which pops against her skin tone and will do the same against yours. Upon closer inspection, these mattes don't look dry or cakey, either. They appear light and wearable. Fenty Beauty has already earned respect for its quality and fans should expect the same from these lippies.

Candyvenom is dangerously sexy hot pink. You could wear this shade and nothing else on your face and you'll still enjoy a super glam effect. Or swipe on some mascara, this lippie, and boom! You're done. A good lipstick lights up your whole face.

One of the Boyz is a pastel, powdery lavender shade that will give you the most "look at me" lips in the room. It's a daring shade and is perfect for when you want to do a statement lip and rock the "no makeup" makeup look.

Freckle Fiesta is a delish, ginger x orange shade, with a touch of reddishness. It would look gorgeous when paired with a summer tan, a shimmering golden glow, and deep skin tones.

Midnight Wasabi is a unique, smoky green shade. If you are adventurous when off duty or out of the office, this is the shade to go with. It'll be unlike anything else in your lip wardrobe and will turn every head in the room when you wear it. Yes, the lippies look great on Rihanna with her skin tone, but she created this brand to cater to all women and all skin tones. They are meant for everyone — including you!

The Mattemoiselle lippies will be here soon. In the interim, you can rock the Stunna Lip Paint, which is an Old Hollywood red.

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, $18, Sephora

You can't go wrong with the Gloss Bomb, either. It's a quintessential neutral gloss that adds major shine, a sweet slick of color, and it smells like an orchard.

Hurry up and get here, Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselles!
