If you aren't watching Westworld, well, you don't know what you're missing. In case I can't convince you to check it out, perhaps Thandie Newton's 2017 Golden Globes ensemble will give you a nudge. Her performance is one of the many things that made the first season of the show so captivating. Newton is a highly accomplished actor, but her role as Maeve in the new HBO drama has taken her to a whole new level of fame. Her look on Sunday night's red carpet certainly reflects her status as a major talent to watch.

Newton attended the awards ceremony in a creamy white off-the-shoulder dress with long sleeves. Despite the simple silhouette, this outfit was certainly not dull. Quite the opposite, in fact. The bottom of the gown featured an explosion of fiery orange sequin embellishments that crawled up the skirt like flames. It was quite different from the Old West-style saloon dress that Westworld fans are used to seeing her wear on the show, but it suited her just as well (if not better).

The fact that she can easily sport everything from period fashion to sleek, modern formal attire says a lot about her impeccable sense of style.

Hello! The sharp contrast between these two colors makes this piece special.

She accessorized with a lovely strand of jewels that she allowed to hang lower in the back, creating a dramatic dip.

Her simple hairstyle and statement earrings round out the look.

Newton is really having a moment, and I hope it doesn't slow down anytime soon!
