You Can Buy The Cheesecake Factory's Brown Bread At An Actual Grocery Store Soon

by Katie Mitchell

Everybody knows the best part of going out to eat is the free bread served before the meal. I’m totally guilty of filling up on bread then having to take my actual entree to go because I’m too stuffed to finish it. Some restaurants’ bread stands out more than others though. The Cheesecake Factory’s brown bread is a favorite among many patrons, and now the delicious treat is more accessible than ever. The restaurant's brown bread is coming to a grocery store near you. You’ll no longer have to persuade your waiter to bring you extra bread to go. So basically this is the news you’ve been waiting for all year. (Yes, I’m aware we’re less than a month into the year.)

I know what you’re thinking. “Will the bread available at stores taste exactly like the bread in the restaurant?” Great question. Many restaurants sell their branded food in grocery stores, and sometimes it tastes a tad different than when you’re buying it on location, but The Cheesecake Factory promises that their bread will be just as tasty. Staff at Food and Wine got the opportunity to taste the bread before it hit stores and they confirm that it “tastes exactly like at The Cheesecake Factory,” which is good news for brown bread fanatics everywhere.

Last year, a Cheesecake Factory-themed Twitter thread went viral. Twitter user @MaxKriegerVG wrote “If you want a fully immersive "postmodern design hellscape" themed dining experience I highly recommend dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.” The thread pointing out The Cheesecake Factory’s decor, furnishing, and menu, but one thing that wasn’t criticized was the delicious, warm bread.

Your favorite rapper is probably a fan of The Cheesecake Factory’s brown bread too. In 2001, Bow Wow referenced the popular restaurant chain in the song “Perfect Girl (Interlude).” He said, “hit The Cheesecake Factory you know” when rapping about the perfect date for his crush. More recently, Drake asked “Why you gotta fight with me at Cheesecake? You know I like to go there” in his song "Child's Play."

The restaurant’s bread has allowed it to stay a staple in popular culture. It earned the number six spot on Buzzfeed’s ranking of free restaurant bread. Buzzfeed wrote, “What’s better than free bread? Two different kinds!”

The bread will come in three varieties to serve all your culinary needs. The heat and serve dinner rolls and mini-baguettes can serve as additions to your complete dinner menu, and the pre-cut sandwich loaves are great for packing your lunch. You’ll be able to enjoy the tastes of The Cheesecake Factory on the go. The price ($3-$4) is totally worth it.

Bread isn’t the only item that The Cheesecake Factory At Home sells. Cheesecake and cookie and brownie mix are also available, so you can technically bring the magic of The Cheesecake Factory to your home every time you eat. The restaurant describes itself as the “fantastical food experience that is absolutely certain to satisfy,” and it's hard not to agree.

This is perfect timing for folks who celebrate Valentine’s Day but don’t want to deal with the Valentine’s Day crowds. Whip up dinner with your partner, including the brown bread and for dessert, you can make brownies, cupcakes, or cookies.

A Cheesecake Factory representative confirmed to Bustle that the bread will first launch in Winn Dixie, Bi-Lo, and Harveys grocery stores. If you don’t have any of those grocery stores near you, don’t worry. The CheeseCake Factory At Home will be available in other stores shortly, and you can always order online.

Next time you’re grocery shopping, make sure to give The Cheesecake Factory At Home a try.
