You Won't Believe Who Inspired Kendall + Kylie's Revolve Line
Between their merch lines, clothing collections, and makeup empire, it seems like the Jenner family has a new item launching every week. This time they teamed up to add swimsuits to their Kendall + Kylie line for Revolve. While the trendy items are filled with colors and new cuts, they might look a bit familiar. According to Vogue, the Kendall + Kylie swimsuits were inspired by a special family member. It's probably not the one you're thinking, either.
There are a lot of people in the Kardashian-Jenner family to look to when it comes to style. All eyes are on them every time they leave the house, and Khloe Kardashian even has her own, but it's someone else that inspired Kendall + Kylie swimwear line — their mom. According to an interview with Vogue, Kendall and Kylie looked to Kris Jenner for the style inspo.
“We were inspired by old school ’80s bathing suits like my mom used to wear,” Kylie told Vogue. “My mom has the most amazing ’70s and ’80s swim collection. I’ve worn some lately, so we were really inspired by that sexy sport vibe.”
Seeing as the era of Baywatch is back, the inspiration doesn't come as much of a surprise. Other brands, like Ashley Graham's Swimsuits For All, have picked up on the '80s trend as well.
X Revolve Cutout One Piece, $135, Revolve
The 19 new styles are a mix of one-pieces, strapless, and halter styled bikinis that range from $68 to $135. The sisters call the line "swimtimates," according to the Vogue interview, which makes perfect sense when you look at the designs. There's a mix of mesh, structured two-pieces, and high cuts.
X Revolve Cut Out Top, $68, Revolve
It's not just all about the suits though. The Kendall + Kylie line is also filled with dress, separates, and shoes — as usual. There's a mix of trendy styles, like slides and oversized sweatshirts, and tons of new footwear. There's no word on what inspired the rest of the collection.
X Revolve Low Back One Piece, $125, Revolve
Like all good collections, this one is limited edition. All items are currently in-stock exclusively on the Revolve website. Something tells me that it won't be long before it's starts selling out though. I'd shop while you still can!
