The Colors Of The New Nokia 3310 Are Bold

by Kaitlyn Wylde

Remember the year 2000? I do, because it was the year that I got my first cell phone — a rectangular brick with padded buttons and simple, yet addictive analog game called Snake. Now, 17 years later, the same company is releasing a New Nokia 3310, colors and updated technology now included. Because sometimes, what's new is what's old.

We're definitely moving into a time when people are starting to become more aware of the fact that we're constantly glued to our phones and connected — and it's a problem. Having the world at our finger tip is definitely an incredible innovation and mark of technological advances that we should certainly be proud of, but it's also a time suck and a distraction from the physical world around us. While I could never imagine getting rid of my smart phone — I literally rely on it for work — I do find myself fantasizing about the good old semi-technologically advanced days when cell phones were for phone calls and brief texts. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the old school Nokia days.

Clearly, I'm not the only one who's been dreaming. According to the company, the OG 3310 design has been the most requested by customers over time. People want it back. So much so, the company felt confident pooling their resources into not only reviving it, but updating it.

So now here we have it, the Nokia 3310, 2.0. It's everything we liked about the original — its simplicity —but now with a sleeker body, a lighter weight, a larger screen and a faster processor. If you're looking to break away from the hold your smart phone has over you, you might want to consider getting your hands on one of these. Or, because the price is so reasonable ($51!!!!!), you might want to consider adding this phone to your life. Maybe it's your weekend phone, your vacation phone, your after 6 P.M. phone. Maybe you don't have to give up your smart phone to release its grip on you.

If you're on the fence about these new, old phones, you'll definitely want to see them in all of their technicolor glory. Here are the current colors available for purchase:

OG Navy

NOKIA

Remember this? Yeah, it's the same color as the very first version of this phone. Nostalgia much?

Brick Red

If you're one to lose your phone often, this is the co;or for you. It's bold, and you'll see if wedged in the couch cushion from across the room.

Business Grey

NOKIA

If you're looking to use this phone for business or you want to be low-key about it, this is the most casual color it comes in.

Bright Yellow

NOKIA

I mean, why not have fun with it? This is the happiest yellow there is!
