The Luggage Over 5,000 People Have Been Begging For Is Finally Here

By now, you've either seen an Away luggage somewhere or are a proud owner of one. That's how popular this suitcase brand is. Combine that with the most talked about color of the year and you've got yourself a hit. According to Away, over 5,000 people requested that they make pink luggage. Through Twitter, Instagram, and email, thousands of fans reached out to the company, begging them to make their signature chic suitcase in millennial pink. And now, you can finally shop the most Instagrammable luggage on the internet in the trendiest color on Instagram.

On Oct. 10, Away added Blush to their permanent evergreen collection. The soft, cool-toned pink hue can be found in all sizes of their high-tech, hard-shelled, lightweight luggage, and is available to shop immediately online and in store.

Before this, the color made a brief appearance as part of the limited-edition Pop & Suki collaboration which was released back in May. But long before Away x Pop & Suki, fans of the luggage brand had been asking for the color.

Originally, when Away co-founders Jen Rubio and Stephanie Korey launched the brand back in 2016, they only offered the suitcase in a few neutral shades, like black, tan, and hunter green. Since then, they have sold over 100,000 suitcases and found their way into the hands of every fashion-conscious and tech-savvy traveler. As the company has grown, they've added more sizes to their collection and offered them in different colors, some permanently and some, only for a limited time.

Away has partnered with different brands and celebrities since their launch to release limited-edition colorways. They've teamed up with West Elm on brass and platinum suitcases, with Rashida Jones on Cactus, Clay, and Violet shades, with Illumination to create a Minions-yellow hue (which is still available to shop right now), and of course, Pop & Suki on a pastel pink.

But of those shades, only one of them received a staggering amount of customer feedback — which is why the Blush earned a spot in Away's permanent collection.

If you're on the market for a new suitcase or are getting an early start to the holiday shopping season, look no further than the internet's most popular luggage.

The Carry-On

Perfect for a weekend getaway or a week-long work trip (or a month-long vacation, if you're a strategic packer) the Carry-On is guaranteed to keep your belongings safe with its unbreakable, TSA-friendly design. And in case you didn't already know, it comes with a handy built-in battery so you can charge any USB device.

The Bigger Carry-On

If you are a heavy packer and need a little extra room, but still don't want to check in a bag, Away's Bigger Carry-On is an excellent option. It's still got everything the original Carry-On has — two compartments, a nylon laundry bag, etc. — just more space.

The Medium

Standing 26 inches tall and 18 inches wide, the Medium luggage cannot be carried onto the plane. However, it has a built-in lock so no one can get into your stuff (except for you and the TSA).

The Large

The Large, $295, awaytravel.com

Away calls this suitcase "enormous" and big enough for a "full wardrobe," but even though it's much larger than its counterparts, it can still be easily transported around, thanks to its 360 degree Hinomoto wheels. One reviewer said he's taken his Large on over 40 flights over the last few months (!!!) and he "absolutely [loves] it" and that it "moves like a dream."

What will Away's next suitcase color be? Will yellow become a permanent addition? How about Pantone's color of the year, moss green? Only time will tell. One thing's for sure: If you've got a request, let them know. You might not be the only one asking for it and who knows, it could become the next Away colorway.
