The Top Anti-Valentine's Day Song Is...

carballo/Fotolia

When it comes to spending Valentine's Day single, there are a lot of different philosophies. Some people want to ignore it completely, some want to go out on the town. Some want to celebrate with their closest friends and some want just wallow in a vat of ice cream and self-pity. I have been all of these people— and they're all OK. But no matter how you're going to celebrate (or commiserate), some music can help. And thanks to the folks at iHeartRadio, we now know the top anti-Valentine's Day songs. And they're pretty great.

How did they work out the perfect playlist? Well, they looked at major anti-Valentine's Day categories on iHeartRadio, like "break up," "moving on," and "empowerment" and then looked at which songs were the most liked by users. The result? A pretty incredible anti-Valentine's playlist, perfect for your favorite Galentine's Day party or workout mix. Prepare for a lot of Katy Perry, Beyoncé, and Meghan Trainor. And don't worry, some TLC made the list too, of course.

So if you're looking for some musical inspiration for the fast-approaching holiday, look no further. Here is iHeartRadio's top 10 list so you can get down, get emotional, and get however you damn well feel:

1

Meghan Trainor — Me Too

With a hook like "I'd wanna be me too/I'd wanna be me too", it's definitely about feeling yourself. People are loving themselves whether single or not on Valentine's Day.

2

Beyoncé — Sorry

How should you feel about being single this Valentine's Day? Repeat after me: "I ain't sorry".

3

Katy Perry — Wide Awake

Pretty much the feeling of everyone after a bad breakup ever. It's how I feel when I see a picture of my first boyfriend's rattail.

4

Katy Perry — Roar

This is so overplayed on my running mix and I'm not even going to think about apologizing.

5

Adele — Someone Like You

Not so much empowering as weeping openly only the train while eating a block of marzipan (yes, you can buy it in blocks and this happened to me), but sometimes you need that too.

6

Katy Perry — Firework

Katy Perry is ruling this list.

7

Shawn Mendes — Stiches

Fun fact — I didn't know who Shawn Mendes until this list, but I'm digging the song.

8

Rascal Flats — What Hurts The Most

Country music lovers get their hurts broken too, you know. That being said, I couldn't locate a photo of rascal flats, so please enjoy this anonymously country music looking man wandering down the road with a guitar.

9

Beyoncé — Singles Ladies

ANTHEM.

10

Meghan Trainor — All About The Base

And Meghan Trainor closes up the top 10. Considering she also came in at number one, she seems like somewhat of a breakup/single lady queen.

So if you're looking for some anti-Valentine's Day anthems, this list has you covered. I think I found some new empowering workout music. Oh— and for the record, "No Scrubs" came in at number 12. They were robbed.
