These Trump On Air Force One Memes Show The Force Is Not With Him

On Thursday, during his flight to Palm Beach, Florida, for a meeting with President Xi Jinping of China, President Trump, the man who among some circles already has a reputation for having a "dark side," unknowingly gave those circles fodder for their feelings. That's what led to this following series of memes. It's not the first time something the president's done on the official plane has been meme-worthy — there have been other Trump on Air Force One memes.

This time, a reporter from ABC, Alex Mallin, explained, a bevy of reporters in the press cabin forgot to turn off the movie before speaking with the president, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ended up making a cameo in the official photos from the briefing. The photos poured out from the news media and Twitter got... Twitterpated, inspiring a number of memes.

In this case, though, it's sort of a shame since the content of the encounter included important topics like Trump's reaction to the devastation in Syria immediately prior to his unannounced airstrike in the country; his thoughts on Congress invoking the nuclear option on his first Supreme Court pick the day before the pick was, against tough odds, ultimately confirmed; and his reaction to how his presidency has been going so far: "I think we've had one of the most successful 13 weeks in the history of the presidency." (It's been 11 weeks.)
