My Go-To Wedding Makeup Look For Under $53

Is it me, or does wedding season feel like way more than just a season? In this past year alone, I have attended 17 (you read that right: one seven) weddings. As fun as they are, they can add up, from travel to getting an outfit to picking out a gift. But since I’m practically a professional wedding-goer at this point, I’ve learned how to be a savvy with my beauty routine. For one, I rely on drugstore products, because I not only go through them like water, but I know the right ones work just as well as the high-end versions. (Plus, they’re my go-tos for travel — there’s much less to worry about when you know you got a good deal on the contents of your makeup bag.)

In partnership with Walmart, I'm going to show you just how easy it is to shop smarter while still looking like a million bucks. This look has been my time-proven routine that easily transitions from summer to winter weddings, and it costs less than $53 to achieve total.

Shadow Play

I love playing with a warm eyeshadow palette that has a lot of universal shades to build on and blend. NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palette in Warm Neutrals has 16 velvety colors that are a good mix of mattes and shimmers to help me get the right look. I start by using cream all over my lids, and then I buff a medium brown along my crease with a blending brush as a transition shade. Next, I use a matte rust to add more definition to my crease. Last, I top the center of my lids with champagne or copper shimmer for a festive finish.

Eye Definers

You don’t have to spend a ton on mascara to give your lashes life, and that’s exactly why I use L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Washable Mascara in Blackest Black. It helps me get maximum volume with its 200+ bristles, and it won’t flake or check out early on me. I even use it as an eyeliner. Just dip an angled liner brush in the formula for a hacked cream liner that will last through the night.

Cheek Sculptors

Don't underestimate the power of a good bronzer. L’Oréal Paris Summer Belle Bronze Please! Bronzer in Taormina helps sculpt out your cheekbones and give you a pretty, summery glow year-round.

Lips That Go From Day To Night

Because I let the focus be my eyes in my go-to wedding look, I keep my lips more neutral by using a lipstick like Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Nude Attitude. It’s a peachy-nude with a touch of pearl that looks elegant without going overboard on the shimmer. Plus, the buttery texture of this classic doesn't cake and keeps my lips feeling soft.

Set And Forget

To set my makeup, I use Coty’s Airspun Loose Face Powder, which has a light scent that reminds me of baby oil. The formula has a pillowy softness that doesn't settle into lines or give makeup a heavy look (which is especially important during morning events). I lightly brush this all over my face as a final step, and I’m set for the day.
