President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer will testify before Congress on Wednesday morning in what is expected to be a shocking hearing. A transcript of Michael Cohen's opening statement obtained by multiple news organizations, including CNBC, reveals that he doesn't plan to hold back in his criticisms of Trump. In fact, Cohen alleges in his opening statement that the president is "a conman" and "a cheat."

The White House has repeatedly painted Cohen as someone who cannot be trusted and is simply lying to get himself a shorter jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement to CNN on Tuesday that it's "laughable that anyone would take a convicted liar like Cohen at his word." Trump also addressed Cohen's impending testimony in an early morning tweet on Wednesday.

"Michael Cohen was one of many lawyers who represented me (unfortunately). He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud," Trump tweeted. "He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time. Using Crooked’s lawyer!"

Cohen's testimony before the House Oversight and Reform Committee will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Bustle has reached out to the White House for further comment.
