6 Adults Recreate Their Childhood Picture Day Photos

by Arielle Dachille

Elementary school picture day was a make or break event. And by "make or break," I mean "a yearly opportunity for your parents to immortalize you at your most adorably awkward." But if you were to bring back the scrunchies, clear-frame glasses, laser backdrops, and all, what would it look like for your adult self to recreate your elementary school photo? Inquiring minds want to know.

When it comes to reliving your face-palmy elementary school memories as an adult, no show gets it like TV Land’s hit comedy Teachers. As the daily guardians of the young and impressionable, this hapless band of misfit educators gets to re-live childhood every day to hilarious ends. And sure, they aren’t the role models we should look up to necessarily, but we’re pretty envious that they get to take amazing photos in front of fake autumn backgrounds every year!

For the sake of science, we asked some of Bustle's finest to unearth their cutest yet cringiest picture day photos, and reenact them as full-grown human beings. See the results and get to know some of our brave subjects below! And be sure to catch all-new episodes of Teachers, starting Tuesday, November 7 at 10/9c on TV Land!
