There's something in those Biden genes. The name might be most strongly associated with former VP Joe Biden, known for his work on the issue of sexual assault (and ice cream love) — but his daughter, Ashley Biden, just released an exclusive collection with GILT with all proceeds benefitting the charity Livelihood. What's in the range? Some very stylish hoodies.
Working in collaboration with GILT (home of the "there are two of these left in the world" purchase) the collection is truly everything. For one, there are hoodies, which are very comfortable. And two, Livelihood, founded by Ashley Biden, works on a grassroots level to help fund schools, vocational training programs and job placement services, excellent and necessary. Plus, Delaware native Aubrey Plaza joins the younger Biden in a photoshoot for the collection that brings the hoodies to life, as if we wouldn't love them sight unseen.
On a more serious note, the collection is going to a great cause. According to a press release from the brand, "For the initial collection, Livelihood will focus its community development initiatives and funding on Wilmington, Delaware, where Ashley Biden grew up, and Anacostia, District of Columbia, where Ashley first held a job as a social worker." Per the collection's website, each year the organization will invest in two under-funded zip codes, with local boards deciding which projects are funded within their community.
Priced from $79 to $99, the collection features minimalist, single-color hoodies in a range of shades and styles.

As a Delaware native, Plaza says "Ashley and I both talked about our love for Wilmington and for Delaware. I told her how some of the community programs in Wilmington influenced me as a child and helped me get to where I am today."

Casual, effortless basics that look just as good hanging up in your closet as they will as out in the world. You can shop the collection at Gilt.com/Livelihood, but if you feel like seeing a Biden works in the flesh, the Gilt shop within Saks OFF 5TH in New York City is also stocking the collab. No friendship bracelets yet, but hopefully it's just a matter of time.
