The Yeezy Season 5 Details Are Here
It's that time of year again! Fashion Week is on its way, and there's one designer who you know isn't going to miss the action. According to Fashionista, Kanye West will show Yeezy Season 5 at NYFW. He hasn't given us any sneak peeks of the clothing yet, but all the important details about when the Yeezy Season 5 show will take place have been revealed. Here's where and when the music mogul-turned designer's event lands on the NYFW timeline. UPDATE: The Yeezy Season 5 Show has been moved to Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. ET at the Pier 59 Studios, according to WWD.
EARLIER: You didn't think Kanye West was going to slow down on his sartorial creations, did you? Donda — the content, experience, and product company founded by West — has announced the Yeezy Season 5 time and date on Twitter, but it shares a slot with another major brand.
According to the Twitter announcement, the Yeezy Season 5 show will be on Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. ET at Pier 59 Studios.
That also happens to be the same show time as Marchesa, according to Vogue. In the past, the Yeezy show has been held at Madison Square Garden and Roosevelt Island. As Vogue points out, the Pier 59 Studios location is a much more typical Fashion Week venue and is easier for editors to get to during the hustle and bustle of the event.
Not everyone is excited about the show though. In case you missed it, West met with President Trump in early Dec. to, according to the rapper's tweet, "discuss multicultural issues," which has caused the hastag #BanYeezy to float around social media, although it's still not entirely clear whether or not West is a Trump supporter (Bustle has reached out to West's reps for comment). Perhaps this will make Yeezy Season 5 tickets easier to score for fans who are still interested.
Of course, I doubt that any of this will stop West from doing his thing, but it will be all the more interesting to see what he presents in his fifth season.
There's no word on what the show will include. In the past, he's shown everything from basic body-con dressed to clear high heels. On Feb. 15 we will see what West has been up to in the months since his last show.
