Emerald City on NBC has presented a version of the land of Oz that is equal parts aesthetically campy and modern. One of the most interesting plot threads is that of two children on the run from a witch who may not have been as wicked as they assumed. Who plays Tip on Emerald City? British actor Jordan Loughran is no stranger to complicated mythology.

Tip, as you know if you are currently caught up on the series, is a character who was disguised as a boy by her seemingly oppressive guardian, and has just recently discovered that she was born female. If you know something about the source material, Tip is the hidden identity of Princess Ozma — a character in L. Frank Baum's later books as well as the Disney film Return To Oz.

Unless you are a British teenager, the actor who plays Tip on Emerald City might be a stranger to you. Loughran got her start on the BAFTA Award-winning CBBS web series Dixi, where she played Eve. She was also a series regular on the British Disney Channel original series The Evermoor Chronicles. There, Loughran played Sorsha, who at one point becomes a magical being called an everine.

Playing an unhappy princess was the natural next step! Disney will do that to you. It's awesome that an up and coming actor like Loughran is making her debut on American television in such an interesting and complex role on Emerald City.
