Emily Leibert

Emily Leibert is a freelance gender and culture reporter and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in journalism at NYU. With bylines in Refinery29, Teen Vogue, Jezebel, NBC, and more, Emily writes regularly about NFL cheerleaders, the intersection of gender and sport, wedding culture, and politics. Emily received her Bachelor’s degree in public relations from USC, and has worked in communications roles at DreamWorks Animation and BODYTRAFFIC, where she authored two winning grants. She also spent 15 years training as a contemporary dancer. A stereotypical Pisces daydreamer and a new New Yorker, Emily loves to talk about her *feelings* and how much she adores therapy. She also has an unhealthy obsession with her Nespresso machine, smothers her cat Pax with motherly affection, and is trying her best to keep her fiddle leaf fig alive.
