HelloGov And iVisa Merge To Simplify Travel Document Applications
HelloGov and iVisa are combining their passport and visa services in a platform designed to guide international travelers through applications.

Booking an international trip is now easier than ever.
You can book flights in just a few minutes, find endless hotel recommendations, and use travel apps to reserve restaurants or get real-time translations. But figuring out which documents you need, and then actually applying for them, can still be slow and complex.
Even experienced travelers sometimes get tripped up by the process itself — filling out long forms, sometimes in a foreign language, tracking down the right documents, or simply not knowing what to do next — especially with changing rules about passport validity, visas, and new travel regulations.
HelloGov and iVisa have announced a merger aimed at simplifying the process by bringing their passport and visa services together on one platform.
The new HelloGov expects to handle over 1.5 million passport and visa applications each year, offering help in several languages worldwide.
Bringing It All together
HelloGov and iVisa are joining forces so travelers can apply for every travel document they need on one platform.
iVisa has helped travelers apply for visas, e-visas, travel authorizations and arrival cards, drawing on a continuously updated database built over more than 13 years of operation that lists entry requirements for over 100 destinations and 229 nationalities. That history also means the company can track how requirements shift over time.
HelloGov has built an AI-powered platform that guides travelers through the process of applying for passports and other documents based on their personal needs. Its passport services are also available through retail partners and travel memberships.
Together, the two companies are building a single platform where travelers can check exactly which documents they need, fill out simple, guided forms, and have AI and a real specialist review the application for mistakes before submission. For passport renewals, HelloGov’s couriers can also hand-deliver paperwork in person, with tracking and support available throughout.
“We know that a lot of people will want to apply for these documents themselves, and we’d never try to convince them otherwise,” said Adam Boalt, founder and co-CEO of HelloGov. “But at the same time, people are busier than ever, and that uncertainty around “have I done this right?” is something that can make planning a trip far more stressful than it needs to be. That’s why our platform helps them through every step, adapts to their answers and checks everything before they send it off. It’s usability, sure. But it’s also about peace of mind and convenience.”
Sergio Merino, co-founder of iVisa, said the new company is building a network of global partners, helping travelers navigate the process to access these services in places like airports, pre-check apps, and passport photo providers.
What Makes The Platform Different
HelloGov is designed to make passport and visa applications simpler by helping travelers understand what’s required in just a few clicks, then preparing the right documents and checking them before submission.
Automated guidance also may reduce the time required to fill out the form, since the process is designed to be easy to understand and quick to complete. With human support along the way, it’s designed to give every type of traveler peace of mind.
That may be useful for travelers who aren’t particularly tech-savvy and tend to get stuck or overwhelmed by these kinds of applications, as well as frequent travelers looking for something simpler that saves them time and hassle, especially when applying for multiple documents at once.
None of this means travelers have to use the service, though. Those who’d rather not wait in line or mail in documents themselves can use HelloGov’s registered courier marketplace to hand-deliver their paperwork instead.
A Travel Challenge With No Room For Error
In 2025, a man set a world record by visiting all 195 sovereign countries in 499 days, needing visas, health declarations, and embassy permits with no room for delays. He used iVisa to handle most of his visa applications — all approved on time — helping him beat the previous record by 55 days.
HelloGov has also helped travelers in high-pressure situations, including an athlete who needed his passport before a professional trip, and a touring guitarist, ahead of an international tour. In both cases, HelloGov’s AI platform and specialists reviewed the applications before sending them through its courier service.
These examples illustrate how the combined platform may support travelers with complex document requirements. The service is intended not only for record-breakers or touring professionals but also for other international travelers.
Confidence Before You Fly
Travelers will always need to meet government requirements when going abroad: passports renewed, visas approved, and each country’s own entry rules followed. The companies say their goal is to make that easier by offering passport services, visa advice, and application help in one place, so travelers don’t have to figure it out alone.
Brian LaBasco, co-founder of HelloGov, said that combining the businesses would enable the company to “optimize and enhance the entire customer journey” through AI support, real-time tracking, and human assistance.
“Travelers don’t think about passports and visas as separate problems. They just want confidence that they have everything they need before they fly. That’s what we’re building together,” added David Perez, founder of iVisa and co-CEO of the merged company.
