As part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are embarking on an eight-day tour of the Caribbean. With a royal tour comes a focus on Kate's tourdrobe. Here’s everything the Duchess wore during her travels, and the hidden meaning behind each look.

Arriving in Belize, Kate Middleton stepped out in a cobalt blue lace dress from Jenny Packham, one of her early faves. The colour echoes the dominant colour in Belize’s flag, and matches her sapphire and diamond jewellery, which belonged to the late Princess Diana.

Continuing in the blue diplomatic offence (the Duchess wore the hue in solidarity with Ukraine in London recently) Kate swapped her structured suit for a floral Tory Burch number, perfect for a dance.

Her jewellery was the real star of the show, though. The Sézane beaded earrings may be sold out, but there are dupes still available for a fraction of the cost.

Swapping her trusted Stuart Weitzman cork wedges for Stella McCartney espadrilles, Kate and Prince William took a beach-side walk, too.

For their visit to Caracol, an ancient Mayan archaeological site in the Chiquibul Forest, Kate opted for a simple and practical combo: white t-shirt, khaki trousers, and white Superga Cotu classic trainers, which Princess Diana was also a big fan of.

For an evening reception at Cahal Pech, Kate swapped khaki for a dazzling, hot pink dress from The Vampire’s Wife, a brand she has championed since 2020. She teamed it with Mayan-themed clutch, a nod to local designers.

Departing Belize, Kate opted for a red vintage YSL jacket she reportedly bought while at university, paired with crisp white trousers, a Mulberry handbag, and pearl earrings from Anthropologie.

The Jamaican leg of the trip is perhaps the most controversial, so Kate’s put her best (Aquazzura-clad) foot forward with a canary yellow Roksanda dress, matching striking yellow lines on the Jamaican flag, with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch bag, Sézane earrings, and a gold bangle by local designer Lashawndla Bailey-Miller.

After touching down in Jamaica, Kate wore a vintage 1950s dress from Willow Hilson to an engagement in Trench Town. She paired the outfit with tan Russell and Bromley raffia slingback heels, accompanied by a pair of Maria Black Cha Cha earrings and a gold bangle by local designer Lashawndla Bailey-Miller.

Category is: executive realness. For an engagement at the Shortwood Teacher's College in Kingston, Kate opted for a white trouser suit from Alexander McQueen, paired with a tangerine blouse from Ridley London, a vintage woven bag from Willow Hilson, and white Jimmy Choos.

For their final evening in Jamaica, Kate paid tribute to the Jamaican flag once more with a green Jenny Packham dress. Jewels from the Queen’s Emerald Tassel Suite matched, too. Plus, Kate’s royal insignia and the Royal Family Order badge.
