This Trending Shoe Collab Was Designed For Women Who Call The Shots

When women team up to support and empower each other, amazing things can happen. Just ask lifelong friends Kat Hantas, co-founder of 21Seeds Infused Tequila, and Bianca Gates, CEO and co-founder of Birdies. The two women share a deep love of fashion and, clearly, an entrepreneurial spirit, as both Hantas and Gates have had the particular pleasure of watching a friend’s business thrive alongside their own. In celebration of this — and other female entrepreneurs — the brands have just announced their first collaboration: a limited-edition line of chic, playful sneakers made for women who call the shots.

Both 21Seeds and Birdies were founded by women who know how to get things done. In 2015, Bianca Gates and Marisa Sharkey created Birdies for people who wanted comfortable, supportive footwear that didn’t sacrifice style. And in 2019, Kat Hantas founded 21Seeds alongside her sister, Nicole Hantas-Emanuel, and their friend Sarika Singh, with a mission to create a delicious, natural-tasting spirit that makes drinking tequila as approachable as pouring a glass of wine.

This new line of sneakers follows suit, mixing taste and comfort to create a must-have product for women who are doing it all. (Which, let’s be honest, is basically every woman we know.)

Channeling 21Seeds’ award-winning infused tequila varieties, the sneakers are available in three distinct hues: green for Cucumber Jalapeño, pink for Grapefruit Hibiscus, and orange for Valencia Orange. They also boast some swoon-worthy details: Vibrant, handmade wool pom-poms and tassels adorn the top of each shoe, alongside hand-cast round wood beads that set the shoe apart from anything else currently on shelves. The sole features a woven blanket design you’ll recognize from the 21Seeds bottle, which is both a nod to the blankets women use to entertain their loved ones, and a reminder to cherish your own inner circle.
