Sure, Mercury is in retrograde, but did you know that your birth order could also be affecting your relationships? From your parents and partners to friends and (of course) siblings, your birth order is shaping how you interact with others.

We spoke with therapist and author Nedra Glover Tawwab, who has practiced relationship therapy for 12 years, about understanding birth order and using that knowledge to build better relationships.

A Little Bit Better is a new series from Bustle exploring research-backed ways you can level up your life by creating attainable habits and manageable routines.

You can follow Nedra for more advice on Instagram at @nedratawwab and her website.
