Recently, Japanese sex toy company Tenga got in the game, and put a new twist on this cutting edge technology. Using a head-mounted display and headphones, they experimented with a SR (Substitutional Reality) System, which basically substitutes live footage and reality with pre-recorded footage. According to the Anime News Network, one lucky journalist got to try the system out, and learned the hard way that what you see is not necessarily what you get. Of course, the virtual part of "virtual reality" porn is a given, but when done right, it's nearly impossible to tell the difference between fact and f(r)iction. In the beginning of the experiment, the journalist can see porn actress Love Saotome right in front of him and they both wave at each other in acknowledgement.
